Meeting Format
· Drivers are divided
into "formulas" depending on ability and will usually race with
others of a similar standard.
· Each meeting consists of 3 rounds of Heats followed by one round
of Finals.
· The fastest time for each driver places him in a qualifying list
which is used to determine positions for the Finals.
· The first 5 - 7 fastest qualifiers will form the A Final, then the
next 5 - 7 fastest qualifiers form the B Final etc...
· (Info for newcomers to the hobby) The club uses transponders.
these are small black boxes usually attached to your car bodyshell.
When your car passes underneath the timing loop, the transponder
sends a signal to the timing computer and your lap is counted. If
you do not put a transponder on your car then your laps will not be
counted. If you do not have a hole in your bodyshell for a
transponder, don't panic, we can make it for you, just ask.
