About the club

The Sidcup Radio Car Club is a radio control car racing club that caters for all varieties of drivers, whether they be beginner or expert, young or old.   We race 1/10th scale electric saloon cars using either 13.5 Brushless / 27 Turn Brushed or 10.5 Brushless / 19 Turn Brushed motors. We also race 1/12th scale pan cars with a 10.5 Brushless / 19 Turn Brushed upper motor limit.

Meetings are held inside a large school hall. The racing area measures 21 metres x 11.6 metres ( 69ft x 36ft ) and we race on Prima Track GT carpet (aka Prima Felt GT) There is additional area for pitting, and also a 4 ft high raised stage for use as a drivers rostrum. We race alternate friday evenings. We race on a friday evening because it is convenient for people who have to get up early during the week and for those who do not want their children up late the night before school.

We hold summer and winter championships for members of the club.   The championships are divided into four groups,  TQ (Top Qualifiers), F1 (formula 1) and F2 (Formula 2) groups for 1/10th saloons, plus a separate group for the 1/12th pan cars.  Each championship lasts 10 rounds, and at the end of the championship trophies will be presented for places 1st - 3rd in each formula.  Championship results will be updated on the website at the end of each nights racing.

Visitors - If you are not a member of the club, then you can either just turn up on the night and hopefully there will be room for you to race, or alternatively, contact one of the club organizers in the contact section of the site and pre-book.  If you have never raced before, pop down and see us.  Feel free to look around and have a chat.

Next meeting 9th January - Winter championship Round 5
